How much seed do we have to sow before we get a decent crop? A lot! How much is a lot? What ever it takes or “How long is a piece of string?”.unnamed

The good news is that God knows. God calls people into business i.e. One’s “calling” or “assignment”. If we obey His calling we can be assured that there will be significant breakthrough at some point in the journey. As Christian business people or entrepreneurs we have to travel in
faith that He knows exactly when that “turning point” or “critical mass” will be. All we have to do is play our part well, keep broadcasting seed like there is “no tomorrow” and within time the crop will germinate and we will see the a mighty harvest on its way.

It is imperative that a Christian business owner or entrepreneur have a solid and sharp vision (calling/assignment) before they embark upon an adventure in free enterprise whether it be profit
or non profit. Christian business failure is likely attributed to three primary reasons:

1. No vision from God
2. Misinterpretation of the vision from God
3. Giving up too early

If we are anointed for business we must complete three steps (in respective order) before we “set sail”.

1. Pray in earnest for a clear revelation of His unique assignment for us.
2. Prepare a succinct business plan including vision, purpose, target client base, client benefits
offered, organisation growth and medium and long term goals and target dates.
3. Pray for His favour over the business plan every day (ongoing).

Once we begin our voyage we have to learn to wait well as we sail well. We have to trust God 100% that He has chartered the correct course for us no matter what fierce storm or challenge
comes our way. Just “keep on keeping on” and the harvest will come – guaranteed!

“…But first and most importantly seek His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you also.” Matthew 6:33

“…Wait for and confidently expect the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for and confidently expect the Lord.” Psalm 27:14

“…Keeping your heart, mind and eyes on the promise keeper not just His promises helps you to wait well.” Bronwen Healy (reprinted with permission from Bronwen Healy
